Cabo Verde

Cabo Verde, also known as Cape Verde, is an archipelago nation located in the central Atlantic Ocean, approximately 570 kilometers (350 miles) off the west coast of Africa. It consists of ten volcanic islands, with the largest and most populous being Santiago, which houses the capital city, Praia. Cabo Verde is characterized by its diverse landscapes, including mountainous terrains, sandy beaches, and arid regions. The islands have a rich cultural heritage influenced by a blend of African, Portuguese, and Brazilian elements, which is reflected in their music, dance, and cuisine. The official language is Portuguese, and the local Creole languages are widely spoken. The economy is largely based on services, tourism, and agriculture. Cabo Verde is known for its stable political climate and is often recognized as a model for democratic governance in Africa.
