Chad
Chad is a landlocked country located in north-central Africa. It is bordered by Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest, and Niger to the west. The country is named after Lake Chad, one of the largest lakes in Africa, which lies in its southwestern region. Chad has a diverse geography that includes desert landscapes in the north, savanna in the central region, and more fertile areas in the south. The capital city is N’Djamena. Chad is known for its ethnic diversity and a variety of cultural practices, languages, and traditions among its population. The official languages are Arabic and French. The economy is primarily based on agriculture, livestock, and oil production.
