Guinea-Bissau

Guinea-Bissau is a country located in West Africa, bordered by Senegal to the north, Guinea to the south and east, and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. It consists of a mainland portion and several islands, with the capital city being Bissau. Guinea-Bissau gained independence from Portugal in 1973 and has since experienced political instability, including coups and civil conflicts. The official language is Portuguese, but Crioulo, a creole language, is widely spoken among the population. The country is known for its diverse culture, rich natural resources, and significant biodiversity, particularly in its wetlands and coastal areas.
