Libya
Libya is a country located in North Africa, bordered by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, Tunisia and Algeria to the west, Niger to the southwest, Chad to the southeast, and Egypt to the east. The country has a predominantly desert landscape, with the Sahara Desert covering much of its territory. Libya is known for its rich history, including ancient civilizations such as the Phoenicians and Romans, and more recently, its oil reserves which are a significant part of its economy. The capital city is Tripoli, situated along the coast. Libya has experienced significant political change and turmoil, especially following the 2011 civil war that led to the overthrow of long-time leader Muammar Gaddafi. The country is currently in a phase of political reconstruction and challenges in establishing stable governance.
