New Zealand

New Zealand is an island nation located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, comprising two main land masses, the North Island and the South Island, along with numerous smaller islands. It is known for its diverse landscapes, ranging from mountains and forests to beaches and farmland. New Zealand has a unique cultural heritage, primarily influenced by Māori, the indigenous Polynesian people, as well as British colonial history. The country operates as a parliamentary democracy and is a member of various international organizations including the United Nations and the Commonwealth of Nations. Its economy is based on agriculture, tourism, and services. New Zealand is recognized for its progressive policies, environmental conservation efforts, and as a leader in various social issues, including being the first country to grant women the right to vote in 1893.
