Saint Kitts and Nevis

Saint Kitts and Nevis is a dual-island nation located in the Caribbean, specifically in the West Indies. It is made up of two volcanic islands: Saint Kitts, which is the larger of the two, and Nevis, which lies to the southeast of Saint Kitts. The country is known for its lush landscapes, beautiful beaches, and rich history, being one of the first islands in the Caribbean to be settled by Europeans in the 17th century. The capital city is Basseterre, located on Saint Kitts. Saint Kitts and Nevis is a constitutional monarchy within the Commonwealth of Nations, with the British monarch as its head of state, represented locally by a Governor-General. The country gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1983 and is known for its tourism, agriculture (notably sugar production), and financial services.
