Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is a country located in the Middle East on the Arabian Peninsula. Officially known as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it is bordered by Jordan to the northwest, Iraq to the north, Kuwait to the northeast, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates to the east, Oman to the southeast, and Yemen to the south. The country has a significant portion of the world’s oil reserves and is a leading oil exporter.

Saudi Arabia’s capital and largest city is Riyadh. The country is known for its extensive deserts, including the Rub’ al Khali, or Empty Quarter, the largest continuous sand desert in the world. It is also the birthplace of Islam and is home to its two holiest cities, Mecca and Medina, attracting millions of Muslim pilgrims each year for the Hajj.

The governance structure is an absolute monarchy, with the king serving as both the head of state and government. Saudi Arabia’s economy is heavily reliant on oil revenue, but efforts have been made in recent years to diversify the economy through initiatives like Vision 2030. The nation’s cultural landscape is influenced by its Islamic heritage, with traditional customs and practices still playing a central role in everyday life.
