Turkmenistan

Turkmenistan is a country located in Central Asia, bordered by the Caspian Sea to the west, Kazakhstan to the northwest, Uzbekistan to the north and northeast, Afghanistan to the southeast, and Iran to the south. It is known for its vast deserts, particularly the Karakum Desert, and its rich cultural heritage, influenced by various civilizations over centuries, including Persian, Arab, and Russian cultures. The capital city is Ashgabat. Turkmenistan gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991 and has since maintained a neutral foreign policy. The country is rich in natural resources, particularly natural gas.
