Vanuatu

Vanuatu is an archipelago nation located in the South Pacific Ocean, made up of approximately 83 islands, some of which are volcanic. It is situated east of Australia and north of New Zealand. The country is known for its diverse cultures, languages, and traditions, with around 113 indigenous languages spoken. Vanuatu has a unique blend of Melanesian cultures and was formerly a French and British colonial territory until gaining independence in 1980. The capital city is Port Vila, located on the island of Efate. Vanuatu’s economy is primarily based on agriculture, tourism, and fishing. The islands are characterized by beautiful landscapes, including tropical rainforests, coral reefs, and active volcanoes, making it a popular destination for eco-tourism and adventure activities. The country is also part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, which influences its geological activity.
